SMOKING BAN TAKES HOLD IN ARIZONA
Arizona bars made history tonight when the clock struck midnight
and the smoking ban spread across the state.
For some bar owners and smokers, they enter the new era
grudgingly.
But voters have spoken, passing the ballot measure last
November.
The Smoke-Free Arizona initiative mandated that smoking cease on
May 1 in nearly all enclosed public places - including bars. The
exception will be at bars and restaurants with patios.
