NO SMOKING CELLS OFFER
SOME Queensland prisoners are being offered a choice of smoking
or non-smoking cells.
Offenders at Palen Creek Correctional Centre at Rathdowney, near
the Queensland-New South Wales border, have the option.
The move has angered prison guards, who say they have no choice
but to work in an environment where most inmates smoke
cigarettes, then have to remove their full ashtrays.
